Generative are working with a rapidly growing Y Combinator-backed AI startup who are on the lookout for exceptional talent to join their Founding Team. As a Founding AI Engineer, you will be a key player in shaping the technology and growth of the startup. Ensuring AI benefits all of humanity by stress-testing and optimising AI applications

What We’re Looking For:

We seek an individual with a proven track record in building top-tier AI/LLM applications, particularly those focused on agentic systems. Your qualifications should include:

• Over 2 years of experience deploying LLM/ML models into production.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Math, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong skills in communicating effectively with both the founding team and customers.
• Ability to understand and apply cutting-edge technical research papers.
• Proficiency writing production-quality code for AI/LLM based applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Python workflows, including libraries such as Pytorch, Langchain/LlamaIndex/OpenAI or similar LLMOps libraries, Scikit-learn, and pandas.
• Proficiency with version control Git.
• Experience implementing NLP models/LLMs for classification
• Experience with open-source LLMs from sources like Hugging Face or GitHub.
• Experience in fine-tuning LLMs.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience with adversarial models.
• Familiarity with RAG
• Experience with pre-training AI models.
• Background in RLHF / RLAIF 
• AWS or Azure.
• Docker.
• A PhD in a STEM field.
