Senior Technical Project Manager 

The company specialises in advanced radar-based sensor platforms and artificial intelligence to enhance health and safety monitoring. The company is preparing for a $30 million Series B round. 

We seek a proactive, technically skilled senior Program/Project Manager to lead the development of an innovative radar-based product. This strategic role involves coordinating complex projects spanning hardware, embedded software, machine learning, and web/mobile applications. Acting as a vital bridge between teams, the ideal candidate will remove obstacles, prioritize tasks, and ensure seamless project progression. 

 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Oversee project structure, ensuring effective collaboration across teams. Clarify dependencies and timelines to maintain smooth workflows. 

  • Define roles, deliverables, and milestones. Develop clear roadmaps and align teams on objectives. 

  • Create and maintain essential documents for accessible stakeholder reference. 

  • Proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks to keep teams focused and on track. 

  • Sequence tasks and workflows, aligning milestones and priorities for timely delivery. 

  • Align production schedules and resources with project timelines. Address supply chain constraints to avoid delays. 

  • Work with product owners to ensure technical needs and interdependencies are addressed, fostering ecosystem cohesion. 

  • Anticipate and communicate risks or dependencies to prevent delays. 

  • Collaborate with all teams, providing resources and information while enabling autonomy and maintaining project visibility. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Solid comprehension of hardware, embedded systems, machine learning, application development, and supply chain processes. Experience working closely with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams is essential. 

  • Proven ability to identify, prioritize, and remove obstacles to keep projects moving efficiently. 

  • Able to independently manage responsibilities, ensuring tasks are aligned with project needs without heavy oversight. Possess a proactive mindset and a knack for anticipating needs before they arise. 

  • Ability to clearly communicate project requirements, risks, and dependencies to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. 

Education and Experience 

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 

  • At least 5 years in technical project or program management, ideally in hardware and software development. 

  • Prefer experience in startups or fast-paced environments, and with ambient sensing or sensor fusion technologies.
